Re: Screen Names
Mine has a meaning to me,,,, 66MP is for the 66th MP Company, my unit in Vietnam, 1 is because I feel that my unit was number 1.

Re: Screen Names
Mine's self explanatory. I was oldnewguy on the old board - because when I joined I was older than the average person looking for military information. But I'm not old and I'm no longer new, so didn't carry that name over to here.

Re: Screen Names
Mine came to me while i was fighting off 300 Republican Gaurd soldiers in Iraq with just a Bayonet and the bio of Chesty Puller, with my dress blues on, well not really but that would be more fun than just saying its my MOS as a Marine.

Re: Screen Names
The Arty guys at FSB Bastogne, my company was providing security there, had a Frisbee, so me and a couple of bros borrowed it and started to fling it around. Although I had never thrown one before I did pretty good with it so one of the guys named Gary, nicknamed me Frisbee and it stuck and it also became my commo callsign. I always use it at military web sites just in case someone from my old unit surfs in and recognizes it.

GIXXER is biker slang for GSXR, in my case a Suzuki GSXR 1100....my drag bike. I own three others, an old Yamaha FZR600, and two newer Yamaha YZF-R1's in various states of mod (one's faster than the other)....anyway that's my story.

Re: Screen Names
Snakeeater,
You have a name and you don't even know what it means, yes they are still snake-eaters today. Mine is simple, I'm a Sailor, but unlike most sailors I do my business on the dirt(or sand) vice the ocean. In case you're wondering, I've done 3 deployments on water. I have 5 years of sea of time. -Rich |
