EEA'S B17 "Keep It Flying" Tour

There was a story about this on the news today (kptv), about two elderly vets who got to ride in a B17 for the first time since WWII, it was pretty cool. It caught my attention because my uncle was a pilot for one of those, he flew thirty five missions over Europe and from the stories I'd heard it's amazing he made it home in one piece.

"EAA is offering historic flight experiences in its beautifully restored B-17G Flying Fortress “Aluminum Overcast.” This aircraft is an example of the American heavy bomber that helped turn the tide of battle in World War II. Fly a mission back in time and feel the might of this magnificent aircraft, just as those brave young men did more than 50 years ago."
