What has been your most satisfying job?

I see no one has posted on this thread yet, so I'll thought I would so, even though I am a "Limey" "Corpsmen".
Question : What has been the most satisfying job (Medical wise) you have done in your career, or have done to date (If still serving)?

For me it's a tie between flying SAR in the highlands of Scotland - flying and getting paid for it, while administering my Paramedic skills in real life & death situations. Or working alongside Royal Marine Commandos (45 Cdo) in a singleton role for 2 years and being accepted as one of their own.

(I don't known how that "Airborne" prefix appeared before my question. Too many keys to press!)

Yes, very much so. The RN Medics wear "Greens" when in the field and in on base, with the Royal Navy Commando "flash" on their shoulders and the Green Beret with the RN rate badge, if entitled to them.

I was not accepted by "Royal" until I had been with the fighting company for a couple of weeks, and then only when I had to deal with a Marine who had ripped open his right knee while skiing in the field. It was a difficult situation, what with the environment and location, however clearly I did good, because thereafter I was the "Doc" and not just the MA (My rank/rate (E3) at the time).
