Help very close to joining the Navy Newbie needs help
I finish HS and very close to joining the navy. I'm skinny 5'7 125lbs you could see my rib cage. THe Navy is about to leave in November for bootcamp. Is there anyother time to join for the Navy to give me time to get bigger. Could you tell me everything i need to know before I join.
HOw does the ranking work? I don't know what I'm gonna do with my life and don't know where I'm going to end up my family doesn't have much money for me to go to college and this is the way to go. Do you get full scholarships to anyschool you want if you join? R there good exercise equipment on deck the ship? I hope it's not really small and have treadmills only? COuld you guys take me through your day your first week or day as you go. |

Re: Help very close to joining the Navy Newbie needs help
Make a stop by Roll Call and check in.
Try to ask some more specific questions, and I'll be more than happy to help. Here ya go though: -You can join the Navy at anytime. It is your choice, normally when you are ready to join, they will give you up to a year to ship out, if you join while you're still in HS. -The Military allows you to take college classes (about 4 a year for free) anything else you have to pay for. You can use the GI Bill to pay for the other courses. If you're grades are good, you can apply for a NROTC Scholarship. -Every ship has workout equipment. Treadmills plus weights and a variety of other stuff. DOn't woorry about your size, it's no big deal if you are small. As long as you are at the minimum height requirements. Ay other questions feel free to ask. Hope I can help you out. -Rich |

Re: Help very close to joining the Navy Newbie needs help
Well first off do you want to go to college? Because if you do their are many ways to go withouht your family paying a dime, their are thousands of scholarships, grants, most everyday people take out loans, that's how many struggling poor people such as my family has made it through college. Do you really what to go to the navy or is it just something you choose cause you feel their is nothing else?
