Pi Question Mark Best remedy for the flu?

Best remedy for the flu?

I would be interested in hearing some household remedies for the flu… Currently have the after-effects and it sucks!

Looking on the positive side of things, I guess I have no need for the flu shot.

Re: Best remedy for the flu?

Echinacea and Goldenseal (taken together in pill or tea form for 2 weeks)
Ginger Tea with honey in it

never tried it, but some people swear by eating garlic cloves

also eat hot spices, chilli peppers, mustard, horseradish

Re: Best remedy for the flu?

Theraflu. I love that stuff. Just mix it with a little warm water and shoot it down. Also the echinacea works well, but it has to build up in your system. Like Zinc it's really more of a preventative measure.

Re: Best remedy for the flu?

Theraflu is not much of a home remedy! Thanks though, I forgot how well that worked!

Echinacea? If I remember right, didn't some people fall over dead from using that herbal remedy? Thanks crew, what did I do to tick you two off?

AmericanGirl, Spicy ain't Nicey to Arbitragio's Tummey! No way, no how!!!!!!!

lots and lots of Jim Beam. The alcohol might "sterilize" your innards..and if it dosent, you can blame that all over crappy feeling on the hangover.

Re: Best remedy for the flu?

Hey, my friend Jim Beam along with some hot tea and honey helped me deal with a nasty bout of bronchitis... I am almost better
