My strengths were percentiles)Word Knowledge - 94 Paragraph Comprehension - 98 Mathematics Knowledge - 89 General Sciences - 86 Mechanical Comprehension - 97 Numerical Operations - 99 Coding Speed - 97 Weaknesses percentiles)Arithmetic Reasoning - 77 Auto & Shop Information - 47 Electronics Information - 66 So my Academic Ability was granted a - 90 I am looking to enlist active duty and would like to contiue my education. The Jobs i have the most intrest in are the 35m Human Intel Col. the 13m MLRS/HIMARS the 19d Cav Scout and 11b Infantry. The cav scout seems most appealing to me. I have talked with a recruiter and done what i can online(minus message boards) If anyone here seems a field i may have an aptitude for or any information about the aforementioned MOS's it would go a long way in helping me. Thank you, Matt |

Re: Future Recruit
You seem to be aiming at the US Army for your service of choice and that's a tribe I have no direct experience with, and my time was in the way way long ago so might not even be applicable to my own tribe, but...
I'd suggest either the inf or cav first. It used to be, at least in the USMC, that a body could move around between various MOSs during his enlistment if he met qualifications. Starting out as inf gives a body a good, solid foundation type understanding of what a ground oriented military is really meant to be for. Also, going into another MOS with a couple years of grunt under your belt can go a long ways in immunizing you from that rather icky "wannabe grunt" thing that can tend to infect REMFs. There is also long term subtle advantages to stepping outside your usual patterns while still young and flexible. Of course, if some of the new blood pipe in and tell yeh that shuffling around the MOSs isn't done so much now, or some other issues that I'm just not aware of, then go with that the current folk provide for your decisionizing. -Mac |
