Who is our e-mail master ?

I have an email question to do with my personal email address at ssgmike.ivy@verizon.net.

For some reason not all the time, but more then not my Vet buddies receive my e-mail with an extra character added to it, ssgmike.ivyl@verizon.net . Notice the red bold letter. I have no idea how this happens. I checked my outgoing email and return email address's and they do not show this. Really driving me nutso. Any ideas?

And of course with the extra character any return e-mail responses from my buddies never makes it to me.
