Re: Tbs
I got a real good buddy who just started this week, so he's only done admin so far. He's been getting to the school by 0600 and one day not leaving until 2345. Supposedly that's only for admin week, but we'll see.
He already has a ton of reading too. I've heard one Lt. Col. describe TBS as the equivalent of an associate's degree in 6 months. |

Re: Tbs
Ah, Charlie Company, outstanding they should have a beautiful six months. I am currently with Alpha, finishing 9 June so I have tons of stories of my own. I was just looking for someone else who is at TBS or reporting soon so that I can pass on some learning points.
Yes, TBS is basically 1500 hrs of instruction which I am not sure where you went to school at by my college required roughly 1000 for a four year degree. Yes, the days are that packed at times. I would have to say that the average ODT (on deck time) is 0615 with most field exercises going at 0515 or 0415 depending. The average end of day is usually around 1830 - 1900 depending on how competent your student staff is, anything beyond that on a regular basis is usually a problem "passing word". If your friend has any questions feel free to ask and I would be happy to respond anytime. |
