Re: ? about the Marines...
If you have any personal shyness you'd best get over it before you join any service.
Showers are done in mass and under time constraints...get in, get clean Quick and get out. The shower facilities are "open" much like locker rooms but bigger. -Mac |

Re: ? about the Marines...
I'm kinda worried about taking showers with a bunch of guys nude lol, hopefully I can get over my fear and my inadequacies. BTW, I'm looking to get into the armor or artillery, can you guys give me some more information about those jobs.
Thanks, Shawn. |

Re: ? about the Marines...
Stage fright in the shower will be the least of your worries in boot camp.. As for your tanks/artillery questions... Be a little more specific and you might get some good info..

Re: ? about the Marines...
I don't know about the Marines, but when I was in Army Boot Camp a longgggggggggggggggggggggggggg time ago, we didn't have time to worry about who was in the shower with us. The only thing we had to worry about was that fella in the "Smokey the Bear Hat" that was threatening to do bodily harm to us if we did not hurry.

Re: ? about the Marines...
Thanks guys, I'm going to talk with my recruiter this saturday about joining the Marines. I will most likely look at Infantry and Armory, operating a tank has got to be safer than being on the ground lol. Thanks for your help and responses, hopefully next year I can be The Few who can call themselves Marines.

Re: ? about the Marines...
shawn.
Not being a stickler for details on ya here but there is a difference between Armory and Armor. Armory is where the weapons are stored and maintained. Armorers are trained on dismanteling and repairing all manner of weapon systems. Armor is tanks. -Mac |
