Ok, for those of you who have seen the new Green Day music Video: Wake me up when september ends, im sure you have an opinion on it... I know i do. It makes a mockery of the Marine Corps. and sends a bad message to the public, probably their [Green Day's] intentions, you cant really expect much more from a crappy band like them. Well i know i cant do anything about it, and i shouldent stress over it, i was just wondering if anyone else felt the same way...

I've seen the video about 4 times now. I have to say it's one of my favorite Music Videos I've ever seen. As for making a mockery of the Marine Corps, I don't get how it does that? It's just showing what's really happening over there in Iraq, it's not saying Marines suck at combat or that we're the only ones getting killed or anything like that. I think it's kind of cool they chose Marines for the video, shows that they know that Marines are doing their part. I also think that Greenday might have made that video after the deaths of all the Lima Company Marines (God Bless them), so that might make it a little easier to understand why they chose Marines for it.

I personally think this video is great, it has a great storyline. There's some kind of Poll on MTV.com (I'm pretty sure of this) that asks, "How should this video end?" because I think there's a 2nd part coming out for it. Alot of the poll answers are that he should die to show the how many of our nations heroes have fallen. I dunno, I thought it'd be pretty cool for him to come back to his girl. But that's just my opinion.

Ehhh i guess... i have mixed feelings, i think it is a little inaccurate but i dont know... Maby its just the over-acting or the sad excuses for explosions (allthough when the Marine gets shot in the leg it is pretty realistic) there is somthing about it that just makes me mad... maby it is just the fact i dont like greenday cuz of the crap they talk about our country... To each his own i guess....

I think it sends a positive message about Marines. It shows how Marines are willing to leave their hot girlfriends to kick some ass in Iraq. It also shows this country isn't going to shit because Green Day has always been anti-war and anti-Bush but still shows support for the thousands of Marines, sailors, soldiers, and airmen in Iraq. Also it shows that even in today's society, there are still men and women out there who are still willing to give up everything for their country.

I'm not a fan of Green Day because they are anti-Bush and anti-war, but this is a good music video.

I'm not a Marine, but all of you who know me know I feel strongly about them, I'm joining. I saw the video, I think it sends a positive message if a message at all.

I think it was a pretty good video. I felt a connection with that guy. About him going to bootcamp thinking everything was going to be good, but he didn't know that everything was a bit more serious that he thought. Then his girl is feeling sad that he is gone and not with him anymore.

Bottom line, I hate green day. Enough said, almost as bad as the "american idiot" video. Its prob not the video so much itself, I just hate the band.

I think this is one of those videos that the meaning is a personal thing. Some might see it showing the sacrifice that the young men & women are making when they join the Armed Forces. thats how i took it.

I have the cd & think its great.

I don't really see how you all think Greenday is anti-American. If they were Anti-American they wouldn't live here. The guys don't like how Bush handled the War and just like alot of Americans, don't agree with the war. They don't by any means have anything against the Soldiers and Marines fighting the war, as you can see in the video.

I just think they're doing what the constitution says they can do and using their freedom of speech. I think the video is great. The band is also great.

to me the girl seems a little selfish with all the "how could you do this to me, blah blah..." but i can see how she would be upset. other than that, i think it showed support and Appreciation for all the young men and women who have and are joining to fight for their country even though everyone tells them not to and its a bad idea. however overall i still have mixed feelings about Green Day. i cant get a read on them. sometimes i want to tell them to move to canada, other times i dont mind them....
