I'm not gonna get DQed am I?
I've already gotten sworn in and gone through MEPs. I did that on June 19th. But now I'm worried that when I go through my check up before boot camp up at Ft. Meade next year they might DQ me because I just got diagnosed with Mono. I've been sick for about 3 weeks now, so the bad symptoms will be going away shortly, but I'll be "fatigued" for quite awhile (up to 6 months, which still isn't even close to when I leave). But I'm just wondering if they find it in my blood test next year because Mono stays with you for life, is that a reason to DQ me from going to the Marines??

Mono... isnt that the Kissin deases? lol but anyway, a friend of mine had mono when we were younger and he is a Marine. He didnt mention having a problem to me about getting in

LoL, yes it's the "Kissing Disease". Let's just say when I found out I had some phone calls to make lol.
By the time I go to boot camp it'll be dormant. Thing with Mono is that it's in you for the rest of your life, but after the initial symptoms are over you're basically immune to it. Thanks for answering me question. -Jugganaut Joe |
