I got sprayed with OC spray during non-lethal weapons training today. Just wanted to throw that out there, but it was so horrible that I really don't feel like recounting the details right now.

That was probably the single worst thing that's ever happened to me.

I feel your pain. OC is horrible. The CS chamber has never had much of an effect on me, but OC will kick my ass every time. The gas chamber has NOTHING on OC.

Peper spray? I've dosed myself with the civilian comercial stuff once...just out of curiosity.

And, pickled jalapenos dipped in ranch sauce are my fav snack when watching football. I also have hayfever so its not uncommon for me to reflexively reach up and rub my itchy nose or eyes after having soaked my fingers in jalapeno juice.

I know that's probably no where near the intensity but at least I have an idea of what your sayin now.

Oh jeez I should have known that. I wanted to see what it was like once so I was stupid and put some on my finger and wiped it on my face..........bad idea. Good thing it was winter, that snow really came in handy. Now that I realize what it is, I feel for ya Panzerman.

Military OC is roughly 11 times as powerful as what you can buy over the counter - it's the same strength as what is marketted as bear spray, actually.

Uh...no. The whole point of getting sprayed with OC in training is to teach you that even if someone were to get your can away from you and use it against you, you can deal with the effects and carry out your mission.

They don't just spray you and say, "See? It fucking sucks doesn't it?" while you roll around on the ground and cry. They spray you, make you do some cals, then you run this course and demonstrate that you can still fight by performing different tasks at each station (punches, knee strikes, baton strikes, parrying strikes, and baton takedowns). Then they let you go roll around on the ground and cry until it wears off - about two hours later.

It was horrible, but it's kind of motivating to know that I can get sprayed with stuff that is supposed to stop a charging grizzly and still kick the shit out of somebody.
