Drinking age changed in Marine Forces Pacific

So it's official the Commanding Gen or Marine Forces Japan has changed the drinking age from 21 to 20. It's about time they go back to the old days when you can drink at the age of the country that you are in. You know what that means, Cpl Spongejuan (who just turned 20 2 weeks ago) is going to buy some motivated alcohol at the 7-day store muwahahahaha

Damn your unit sucks at staying out of trouble. Ever since our SgtMaj had a talk with the Enlisted Marines about "staying out of trouble or I'll have to take care of it" kinda stopped all the crazy shit.

That kind of jackass is trouble on the hoof anyway. Y'all are better off shed of him. Having him waite until he was 21 to show his ass would have just put it off for awhile, or until he could have got hold of booze on the sly.

Sometimes shit's gotta happen and the only thing a body can do is try not to get splattered or step in it.

I didn't realize the drinking age over there was ever raised.. When I was on Oki you could buy/consume beer on base at 18, hard alcohol at 20.. You know, because there's SUCH a huge difference.. Off base, no holds barred.

Well they passed it a while back that in the Corps you had to be 21 to drink no matter what. I guess they realized that they were not going to stop Marines from buying alcohol out in town and wanted to see how good we'd do. Our unit has done a good job. Haven't had anybody on the blotter since Iwakuni.
