I just signed for a shiney new M-4 today, with an RCO, a bipod...and a supressor!?

Only if you're some chump REMF that doesn't know how to properly clean or care for a weapon. Besides, it takes literally fractions of a second to clear a stoppage if you're well practiced. I'll leave that issue to the drama queens who spend more time complaining about their rifle than learning how to use it.

No, but there's a sticker near the little end that says, "THIS END TOWARDS ENEMY." I think I can figure it out from there.

How do you supress a supersonic round?

How BIG is this supressor?

Obviously, the round is still going to "crack" as it goes by (or doesn't go by, depending on how lucky the target is!), but the muzzle blast will be muffled, making it more difficult to determine where the shot came from. I'd say it's about 14" in length.

^ Panzer's right on for this one - the suppressor reduces muzzle flash and disperses gasses. Makes for a smaller signature and reduces muzzle rise.

The Corps is actually getting NEW, as in new as the army gets, rifles and gear???!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
