mortgage question

I was wondering if anyone had any info on this or knew of some sources that I could go to.
I'm a Marine reservist and the scuttlebutt is that my unit is most likely deploying late this year. I'm also in the process of buying my own house. I was just wondering if I get deployed, will the Marine Corps help me with my mortgage payments , seeing how my current civilian job makes me quite a bit more money than I do as an E-3 on deployment. I'm not sure if I could afford the payments. I'm sure this must be a common thing with reservists. My uncle is an E-8 in the army, and I know that while he was in Iraq last year the army payed his payments for him. Although the army seems to get alot of money thrown at them while the Marine Corps doesn't.
If anyone has any info that could help me out it'd be much appreciated.

Hey Matt - welcome aboard.

If they do any kind of supplemental payment, that would be news to me. When I was in the reserves (quite a while ago) there was no such program. As a matter of fact, we frequently asked our employers if they could make up the difference between reserve active duty pay and our regular pay. Some of the bigger companies did, especially if they had former military folks running them -- but that would be hit or miss.

My advice would be 1) approach your first sergeant, and 2) talk to your civilian boss.
