Re: Band of brothers
We were soldiers was a great movie and I'll be awaiting the band of brothers pacific, but I always loved the older war movies more, Flying Leathernecks, Sands of Iwo Jima, Patton, Torah, Torah, Torah, All Quiet on the Western Front.

Battle of the Bulge was a very good movie too. One of my favorites was The Longest Day. I didn't think I'd like Saving Private Ryan but, it turned out to be a great movie.

Re: Band of brothers
"A Band Of Brothers" was one of the best things I have seen...as was "Saving Private Ryan"..."We Were Soldiers...." told the truth about the first major battle in Nam but it was a bit shallow and contrived for my taste.....the Book was definately worth the read however. "A Rumor Of War" is one of the best books written about the Nam and it was an excellent TV movie, if you can find it in Blockbuster or somethere it's worth watching.

Re: Band of brothers
I enjoyed "The Things They Carried," a book about a platoon during Vietnam, it's a little confusing sometimes and hard to get started, but after you get past the 20th page or so you're hooked.
